It is with great pleasure, on behalf of the citizens of Saugeen Shores, that I welcome you and your family to Port Elgin Pumpkinfest 2010. Over the past 24 years, the festival has become one of Ontario's top events and has won numerous awards. Garnering world wide attention for its giant vegetables and classic cars, Pumpkinfest now sees crowds of 60,000 and has an economic impact on the region of over $4 million. Congratulations to the organizing committee and the army of volunteers required to run this event. Your hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated. To our visitors, we hope you enjoy your time in Saugeen Shores and I encourage you to experience all that Port Elgin Pumpkinfest has to offer - from Pumpkinfest Village to Cinderella's Carriage Antique and Classic Car Show. See you at the festival! Saugeen Shores Mayor From the Pumpkinfest Chairman: Welcome to Port Elgin Pumpkinfest 2010! You are invited to join us in celebrating “Family Fun Second to None!” This year promises to be another great success with lots of your favorite activities returning and some new additions to give you an experience that is truly unique. I invite each of you to venture up to Pumpkinfest village to see our crafts, family entertainment, giant vegetable weigh offs, kiddie karnival, and more. After you have experienced all that the Village has to offer, it’s time to head downtown to take a “Walk Down Memory Lane” at our Cinderella’s Carriage Antique and Classic Car Show. More than 1400 cars fill the streets in one of Ontario’s largest 2 day outdoor car shows. From pumpkins to cars and everything in between, Port Elgin Pumpkinfest remains one of Ontario’s Top 100 Events. None of this would be possible without the continued support of all of our great sponsors, volunteers and community. Each one of you helps to make Port Elgin Pumpkinfest a unique experience for everyone who attends.
