Port Elgin Pumpkinfest hosts two separate weigh-offs each year.  These weigh-offs represent the international aspect of the sport as growers compete with other sites from all over the world in the Giant Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) Weigh Off.  Growers in the competitions are required to follow the rules set out by Port Elgin Pumpkinfest and the rules set out by the GPC.  Growers are also eligible for GPC prize money handed out by the GPC in the categories they have outlined.
